Member AwardsOACAC annually recognizes individuals who have made major contributions to the college counseling and admission profession. OACAC members are invited to submit nominations for the following special recognition awards. Lifetime Achievement AwardOACAC established the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002 to recognize an individual who has contributed to the profession in a significant and lasting manner. This award, which represents OACAC's highest member tribute, is presented to an individual who, over a period of years, has performed outstanding service to OACAC, to our profession, and to the international college counseling community. Nicholas Senecal Awarded Lifetime Achievement Award at OACAC Conference 2007 OACAC’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the association’s highest member tribute, was presented to Nicolas Senecal from Brandeis University. This award is presented to an individual who, over a period of years, has performed outstanding service to OACAC, the profession, and the international college counseling community. Senecal is retiring this year after having been a member of the Admission Offices of Brandeis University, Bryant University and Boston University. Past Awardees 2006 Vivian Cipolla NYU 2005 Jane Lowrey 2004 Beth Linguiri 2003 Peggy Templeton-Strong Distinguished Service AwardThis award recognizes a person who has provided OACAC with unique and outstanding service to our association. Dale Ford Awarded Distinguished Service AwardDale Ford, Counseling Department Chair at Singapore American School and OACAC’s President in 2004-2005, was presented with the Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his outstanding service to the association. Ford developed OACAC’s first website, and was instrumental in raising the association’s stature so that it could better fulfill its mission, which is “to facilitate global interaction among counselors and institutions in support of students in their transition from secondary to higher education.”Hamilton Gregg Receives 2005 Distinguished Service AwardPast Awardees: 2006 Marie Vivas 2005 Hamilton Gregg 2004 Peter Hauet 2003 Doug Thompson
