Welcome

“Bringing Western Education to the World”

Once again educational professionals will gather from around the world and share our wisdom, stories and friendship. All this is to further OACAC’s mission to facilitate global interaction among counselors and institutions in support of students in their transition from secondary to higher education. And the annual conference at Texas Christian University this July 13-15 will be an incredible event! Excellent facilities and warm hospitality will ensure that everyone will enjoy themselves, while stretching their professional knowledge and connections.

Plan on arriving by early afternoon on Thursday when we start with the first timer session and the opening keynote from John Clemens. Throughout the conference there will be ample opportunity to network with your colleagues during both the daily sessions and the evening activities. You will want to make arrangements to return home on Sunday to ensure that you may take advantage of our host’s hospitality and our friend’s company.

OACAC has seen our conference grow quickly in recent years, but not at the expense of your conference experience. Last year, 202 different colleges and universities along with 91 different secondary schools brought representatives from 45 different countries. Without question this is the best opportunity to meet with the seasoned professionals that are working to better the experience of those students looking at global education opportunities.

At TCU, when the world gathers this July, we will be sharing our expertise and bringing the options of western education to the world’s students, while those students will be bringing the influences of the world to our western schools.

See you in Texas!!
