OACAC is an organization that is run completely by volunteers. Since it’s founding in 1991, OACAC members have worked tirelessly on behalf of the organization. Members have put together conferences, written and mailed newsletters, developed this website, sent membership renewals, and given up untold hours to make this organization work.
Over the years OACAC has continued to grow and in 2001 we became incorporated as a not-for-profit organization. Membership is open to those who are assisting students in their transition to higher education.
The OACAC Executive Board is responsible for the day to day running of the association. While voting membership is required to run for several of the offices, associate members can hold any of the Vice Presidential offices. Each year members are asked to nominate themselves or someone else for an Executive Board office. Get involved! It’s a great way to get involved in the profession–and it’s a fun group to hang out with!
